In 2026, North Vancouver’s Grouse Mountain celebrated it’s 100 year anniversary…
The branding for the festival is centered around the ‘100 Anniversary Celebration’ logo. To create a mark that references both the past and the present, elements were pulled from both historical and current-day logos, whilst the mountain’s usual red colour palette was temporarily replaced with a festive gold.
Throughout the year, the anniversary branding was used across multiple advertising campaigns. Historic and modern-day imagery was used side-by-side to highlight the mountain’s long-standing presence as an activity destination, whilst promoting the exciting new events and attractions.
To toast the big year, Grouse released a limited-edition beer, created in collaboration with local brewery North Point. The label design features a collage of iconic visuals and hidden details - celebrating the rich history of the mountain and its many stories.
For the mountain’s two retail stores, bespoke merchandise was created. Grouse worked with the Museum of North Vancouver to source vintage logos, badges and memorabilia from throughout its 100 years. This was then used as inspiration to produce one unique design for each of the last ten decades, appearing on everything from hats and clothing, to stickers, souvenirs and homeware.

To keep all the anniversary information in one place, a bespoke microsite was created. The site included a timeline of the mountain’s history, updates on centennial events throughout the year, and a gallery for guests to share their own photos and memories of the mountain. Built using Squarespace.
